15 Days North to South Iranian Culinary Tour
In fifteen amazing days, you will visit the main touristic cities from north to south Iran, and see its amazing World Heritage Sites.
As well as visiting main historical sites and natural beauty spots, you will be able to try the various foods from the places you visit and experience their difference in ingredients and styles of cooking. You will sample a sea food dish in the cities of Rasht and Bushehr, but notice how totally different they are in taste.
The tour will give you the chance to experience the very best of Iran's nature, culture and history. In this private trip, your tour guide will help you to discover authentic Iranian food which is inspired from its nature and culture.
First you will visit Tehran which is the capital and the most populated city in the country.
Tehran is a paradise for Iranian food lovers. In Tehran you will have the chance to try food from various destinations around Iran, which may not even be in your tour itinerary such as Azari food like Kofte and cookies from Kermanshah, which all are available there.
In the trip to the North you will visit Chalus, Namakabrood and Rasht. Rasht has earned the nickname "Food City" and also found international recognition as one of UNESCO's creative cities of gastronomy because of its use of local spices, ingredients such as fish, herbs and legumes, and cooking utensils and methods to create ancient recipes handed down through generations.
You will drive via Qazvin to lovely Kashan and later Esfehan.
Esfehan resembles a green emerald in the desert and it was the capital of Iran in the 16-17th century. It is home to some amazing Persian architecture and its UNESCO registered sites, mainly the second largest historical square in the world (after Tiananmen Square in China).You will drive to Shiraz to visit the most important UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Iran, Persepolis, Necropolis and Pasargadae, which dates back to nearly 2500 years ago.
Shiraz is known as the city of poetry, history, rose and nightingales. Kazeroon is another UNESCO World Heritage Site destination, where you will see the largest acorn forest and route for nomads. Later visit Bushehr near the Persian Gulf, to try some tasty south Iranian cuisine.
Tehran is your last stop, where this is your free day, before your transfer to IKA (Tehran International Airport).

Day 1: Tehran:
Arrival, meet and greet at the airport, transfer to hotel.
Day 2: Tehran:
Today you will visit the National Museum later you will have lunch in Tehran Bazar, in one of the most crowded and popular restaurants in Iran. Later visit Golestan Palace and finally have a cooking class and dinner, in a local house.
Day 3: Tehran to Chalus (200km):
Drive to Chalus via one of the most beautiful roads in Iran. You will take a trip with the Namak Abrood cable car and you'll get to try some northern Iranian food in traditional restaurants. Afternoon visit the Caspian Sea.
Day 4: Chalus to Rasht (200km):
Drive via villages to Rasht. Stop in Ramsar, visit the Caspian Sea and try the local food for lunch. Sample the warm local cookies with north Iranian tea in Lahijan. Afternoon is spent walking in Rasht local market and trying the local food.
Day 5: Rasht:
Visit Qaleh Roodkhan(Castle). Afternoon is a trip to an anthropology museum. Night is spent at a cooking class and dinner in a local house.
Day 6: Rasht to Qazvin (170km):
Today morning you have free time after check out of your hotel and lunch drive to Qazvin, on the way try north Iranian cookies and food. In Qazvin visit Bazar and try traditional food.
Day 7: Qazvin to Kashan (330km):
Morning drive to central Iran and Kashan and experience totally different nature. In Kashan visit the Bazar and Timche Amin Al Doleh and Agha Bozorg Mosque. Don't forget to try the beautiful local cookies such as Baqhlava and Koloocheh in Bazar.
Day 8: Kashan to Esfehan (215km):
Half day city tour visit Tabatabaee house, Fin Garden and be familiar with Kashan Rose water. After lunch drive to Esfehan. In Esfehan visit Sio-Se-Pol and Khajoo Bridges.
Day 9: Esfehan:
Full day tour of Isfahan, visiting the UNESCO world heritage site of Naghsh-e-Jahan Square, once a royal polo court (17th Century). After you will visit the King Mosque (Royal Mosque) with its wonderful architecture and tile-work, Ali Qapu Palace, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque, Qaysariyeh Bazar and Chehel Sotun Palace. Try traditional food and cookies near Bazar.
Day 10: Esfehan to Shiraz(480km):
Early morning drive to Shiraz, on the way visiting Pasargad, before having lunch in a rural house. You will then visit the UNESCO world heritage sites Persepolis and Necropolis. Night spent in Shiraz.
Day 11: Shiraz:
City tour in Shiraz, visiting the magnificent Nasir-ol-Molk mosque (Pink Mosque), Shahe Cheragh Shrine, Vakil Complex and Bathhouse including Bazar and Saraye Moshir. Dinner is spent at a cooking class and dinner in a local house.
Day 12: Shiraz to Kazeroon:
Today you will visit Ghoran Gate, then it's off to the tranquil Hafez tomb (a famous Iranian poet) and then on to see Eram Garden. After lunch and cooking class in a local house drive to Kazeroon, on the way visiting Tange Chogan and Bishabur (UNESCO world heritage sites).
Day 13: Kazeroon to Bushehr(170km):
In the morning you will visit some orange and lemon orchards. Later drive to Bushehr and visit palm gardens on the way. Afternoon is a trip to the Persian Gulf and finally a cooking class and dinner in a local house where you will have dinner.
Day 14: Bushehr to Tehran (1h35m):
Morning is spent visiting the old city, local market and fish market. Lunch in market and then an afternoon flight to Tehran.
Day 15: Tehran:
Today is your free day. Pick up from hotel to IKA international terminal.
